What does it cost to attend The Well for one year?

For those applying to this program, we require no fees.  There are costs associated with attending The Well program, such as housing, feeding, training & development of a client.  The Manna Care Foundation and other partnerships cover program costs for the client. 

How long is The Well program?

The program is 12 months in duration. 

What do the clients in the program learn?

The program and curriculum support the six core components of The Well.  Those six core components are housing, employment, education, family reunification, mentorship and health.  Clients work through a daily schedule with a combination of class sessions, hands-on teaching for skill development, classroom/video, workbooks and a social enterprise component.

When are graduations?

Graduations are held as clients complete the program.  The public, family and friends of graduates and The Well are welcome to attend the graduation ceremony.

Can a client make phone calls, watch tv, listen to the radio or use the internet?

Yes, after an orientation period, the client will have scheduled times to make phone calls, watch tv, listen to the radio and supervised use of internet for educational and developmental requirements for The Well program.

Can guests visit?

Yes, after which time we feel the client is established in the program.  We can approve visits from family with a positive influence in their lives.  The visitors must be registered on the pre-approved guest list and participate in a mandatory guest orientation class. 

Is smoking permitted?

Smoking is not permitted under any circumstances on the property.  Clients are required to quit smoking (if they have not already done so) when they arrive at The Well.  We have a no smoking policy for all guest as well.

How is The Well funded?

The Well is funded by the Manna Care Foundation Inc.; a Canadian Christian registered non-profit charity; revenue generated through Social Enterprise and other partners.
